SOROTI 2020
In February 2020, the JustCause team traveled to Soroti, Uganda to train a team of six Ugandan men and build the first on-site OASIS.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
The heart of JustCause is centered around the people we seek to impact and serve. For this first trip to Soroti, there was a crew of six guys selected by a pastor we have partnered with that were excited to learn and work with us. Though we taught these men in the way of fabrication and welding, they taught us infinitely more about our own faith, about humility, and joy.
WELDING TRAINING
The core of fabricating an OASIS cannot be completed without knowing how to lay consistent welds. We teach various forms of welding so these men can be prepared for potential local jobs. Our hope is that this training can be continued outside of the OASIS construction and provide career paths that will impact the men and their families for years ahead.
